bckspc Delta – PrusaSlicer profiles
PrusaSlicer profiles for the bckspc Delta: a Klipper delta printer with a 0.4 mm brass nozzle and 1.75 mm filament, 200 × 200 mm bed, 450 mm print height. The printer and filament presets were ported from the OrcaSlicer profiles; the print presets come in three families described below. Tested with PrusaSlicer 2.9.6.

Import
PrusaSlicer → File → Import → Import Config Bundle → bckspc Delta.ini. That imports the printer, the physical
printer, all 15 print presets and the 3 filament presets in one step. The four partial bundles can be imported on their
own instead if you only want one part.
The print and filament presets are only listed while the Delta printer preset is selected. They match on the keyword
PRINTER_MODEL_DELTA in the printer notes and on a 0.4 mm nozzle, so they never show up for other printers.
Printer preset: bckspc Delta 0.4 1.75 Filament
Flattened from the Orca machine profile bckspc Delta 0.4 1.75 Filament and its parent bckspc Delta 0.5 nozzle.

Notes:
- Automatic temperature commands are off because
START_PRINTheats nozzle and bed itself. - PrusaSlicer does not emit machine limits for the Klipper flavor, so they only feed the time estimate.
single_extruder_multi_materialis 0. Orca's1means something different and would enable MMU logic.- The 1 mm retraction was inherited from the 2.85 mm machine profile and has not been re-tuned for 1.75 mm.
The physical printer bckspc Delta connects over Moonraker to delta.core.bckspc.de with no API key.
Print presets
All print presets share: 0.2 mm first layer, Arachne perimeters (except Voron Parts), aligned seams, monotonic-line
top surfaces, monotonic bottoms, no skirt, no brim, supports off, arc fitting on (G2/G3), 300 × 300 thumbnails.
Family 1 – Strong / Fast (bckspc Delta print profiles.ini)
Designed for this printer. Speeds and accelerations are the quality settings from the Orca Delta Basis Profil:
| Feature | Speed | Acceleration |
|---|---|---|
| Outer wall | 200 mm/s | 5000 mm/s² |
| Inner wall | 300 mm/s | 5000 mm/s² |
| Sparse infill | 270 mm/s | 5000 mm/s² |
| Solid infill | 250 mm/s | 5000 mm/s² |
| Top surface | 200 mm/s | 3000 mm/s² |
| First layer | 100 mm/s (150 infill) | 2000 mm/s² |
| Travel | 500 mm/s | 6000 mm/s² |
Extrusion width 0.45 mm (0.42 mm first layer and top), infill overlap 25 %, infill anchors 400 % / 20 mm, elephant-foot compensation 0.15 mm, G-code resolution 0.0125 mm, only retract when crossing perimeters.
| Preset | Walls | Infill | Top / bottom layers | Shell target |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.10mm Strong | 4 | 25 % gyroid | 10 / 8 | 1.0 / 0.8 mm |
| 0.10mm Fast | 2 | 10 % support cubic | 7 / 5 | 0.7 / 0.5 mm |
| 0.15mm Strong | 4 | 25 % gyroid | 7 / 6 | 1.0 / 0.8 mm |
| 0.15mm Fast | 2 | 10 % support cubic | 5 / 4 | 0.7 / 0.5 mm |
| 0.20mm Strong | 4 | 25 % gyroid | 5 / 4 | 1.0 / 0.8 mm |
| 0.20mm Fast | 2 | 10 % support cubic | 4 / 3 | 0.7 / 0.5 mm |
| 0.25mm Strong | 4 | 25 % gyroid | 4 / 4 | 1.0 / 0.8 mm |
| 0.25mm Fast | 2 | 10 % support cubic | 3 / 3 | 0.7 / 0.5 mm |
| 0.20mm Voron Parts | 4 | 40 % gyroid | 5 / 5 | exactly 5 layers |
- Strong – functional parts. Four walls carry most of the load; gyroid infill is close to isotropic and has no line crossings. The shell is thick enough that top surfaces do not sag over 25 % infill.
- Fast – drafts and prototypes. Two walls, and support cubic infill, which stays almost empty inside the part and only densifies under top surfaces, so it has the lowest print time of the structural infills. Single perimeter on top surfaces for a cleaner finish. Pick rectilinear if you need uniform infill through the whole part.
- Voron Parts – follows the Voron sourcing guide exactly: 0.2 mm layers, 0.4 mm extrusion width on every line type (classic perimeter generator so the width is fixed), 40 % infill from the approved list, 4 walls, 5 solid top and bottom layers, supports off and auto-supports disabled. Print in ABS/ASA.
Both the layer count and the minimum shell thickness are set; PrusaSlicer uses whichever is thicker, so the presets also behave sensibly with variable layer height.
Family 2 – Core One based (bckspc Delta print profiles (Core One).ini)
All presets in this family carry the prefix CoreOne so their origin is visible in the slicer. They are Prusa's own presets for the CORE One with a 0.4 mm nozzle, flattened through their inheritance chains and copied
setting for setting: extrusion widths 0.45 mm (0.5 mm first layer, 0.42 mm top), infill overlap 15 %, infill anchors
2 / 12 mm, grid 15 % infill, elephant-foot compensation 0.2 mm, G-code resolution 0.008 mm, snug supports with
3 interface layers, shells by minimum thickness 0.7 / 0.5 mm plus the layer counts below, object labelling in
firmware mode. Only the compatibility condition, extruder clearance and output filename are the Delta's.
| Preset | Walls | Top / bottom layers | Overhang threshold for supports | Speeds / accelerations |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CoreOne 0.10mm FAST DETAIL | 3 | 8 / 7 | 40° | Delta |
| CoreOne 0.15mm SPEED | 2 | 6 / 4 | 35° | Delta |
| CoreOne 0.15mm STRUCTURAL | 2 | 6 / 5 | 40° | Delta |
| CoreOne 0.20mm SPEED | 2 | 5 / 3 | 35° | Delta |
| CoreOne 0.20mm STRUCTURAL | 2 | 5 / 4 | 40° | Delta |
| CoreOne 0.20mm QUALITY (Prusa speeds) | 2 | 5 / 4 | 40° | CORE One |
- Speeds in the five "Delta" presets are the faster of the CORE One value and the Delta quality speed from Family 1. The Delta wins everywhere except the steepest overhang band (CORE One 15 mm/s vs 10). Because of that, STRUCTURAL no longer has Prusa's slow 50 mm/s outer walls and differs from SPEED only in bottom shell count and overhang slowdowns. The Delta's long melt zone gives good layer adhesion at these speeds, so the slow walls were deliberately not kept.
- Accelerations in those five are the Delta's (5000 mm/s² default, 3000 top, 2500 bridges, 2000 first layer, 6000 travel). The CORE One's short-travel acceleration is not used.
- CoreOne 0.20mm QUALITY (Prusa speeds) is the CORE One
0.20mm STRUCTURALpreset untouched, including Prusa's speeds and accelerations: 50 mm/s outer walls, 70 mm/s inner walls, 120 mm/s infill, 45 mm/s first layer, 3000 mm/s² default, 1500 mm/s² outer walls, 350 mm/s travel, 12 mm/s Z travel. Use it when you want a print that behaves exactly like a Prusa, for example to compare surface quality against the faster presets.
Klipper requirements for this family: [exclude_object] for the firmware object labels and [gcode_arcs] for arcs.
Both are configured on the Delta.
Which one to use
- Everyday parts: CoreOne 0.20mm SPEED (Prusa recipe) or 0.20mm Fast (lighter, quicker).
- Parts that take load: 0.20mm Strong (4 walls, gyroid) or 0.15mm Strong for finer detail.
- Visible surfaces: CoreOne 0.10mm FAST DETAIL or CoreOne 0.20mm QUALITY (Prusa speeds).
- Printer parts for a Voron: 0.20mm Voron Parts with ABS/ASA.
- Big, quick, rough: 0.25mm Fast.
Filament presets (bckspc Delta filaments.ini)
Ported from the Orca Delta PLA / PETG / TPU 2.85 profiles with the diameter set to 1.75 mm. One nozzle temperature
for all layers; cooling and bed temperatures are the Orca values.
| Preset | Nozzle | Bed | Fan | Max volumetric speed | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Delta PLA | 220 °C | 65 °C | 100 % | 19 mm³/s | fan off on layer 1, slow down below 4 s layers |
| Delta PETG | 255 °C | 80 °C | 20–75 % | 20 mm³/s | fan off for 3 layers, 100 % on bridges, slow down below 8 s |
| Delta TPU | 240 °C | 35 °C | 100 % | 15 mm³/s | retraction 2 mm, 30 mm/s out / 20 mm/s in, no wipe, no Z lift, no retract on layer change; filament type FLEX |
The max volumetric speeds are hotend limits measured on the 2.85 mm setup. They are the real speed ceiling: for example 270 mm/s infill at 0.45 × 0.20 mm would be 24 mm³/s, so PrusaSlicer caps PLA infill at about 210 mm/s. The TPU retraction follows the Prusa flex scheme (their Nextruder profiles use 2.5 mm at 60/20 mm/s): a long filament path to the melt zone needs more retraction for TPU than for rigid filaments, not less. The Orca profile's 0.4 mm was Orca's generic TPU default, not a tuned value.
Sources
sources/OrcaSlicer/… holds verbatim copies of the OrcaSlicer profiles the port was made from, in their original
directory layout: the machine profile and its parent, the Delta process profiles, and the three filament profiles.
They are a snapshot and are not kept in sync with the live Orca config; treat them as the record of what was ported,
not as current profiles. The Prusa CORE One presets are not included; gen_delta_coreone_profiles.py reads them from
the PrusaSlicer installation.
Regenerating
python3 gen_delta_print_profiles.py # Strong / Fast / Voron bundle
python3 gen_delta_coreone_profiles.py # Core One bundle, reads ~/.config/PrusaSlicer/vendor/PrusaResearch.ini
python3 gen_delta_coreone_profiles.py /path/to/PrusaResearch.ini
python3 build_bundle.py # pack all four parts into bckspc Delta.ini
The printer and filament bundles are edited by hand; after changing any part, rerun build_bundle.py.
The Core One generator prints every speed and acceleration it changed, so a rerun after a Prusa profile update shows exactly what moved. Validation so far: every preset sliced a test cube with the command-line slicer without warnings or unrecognised keys. Nothing here has been tuned on the printer yet.
